Spaces that have to work: hotels, restaurants, shops and offices where the design serves an operation.
In a hotel or a restaurant the project has a second client who is never in the meeting: the people who will work there every day. The design has to survive that.
We turned the Solar de Vila Meã in Barcelos into a hotel. We designed Kinda Food & Market and Kinda Home in Porto. We built out Deloitte's Lisbon offices.
What separates this from residential work is operational rigour: circulation, material durability, maintenance, and deadlines that cannot slip because an opening date is already set.
